Let’s talk about wellness, not the “drink celery juice at 5 a.m. and run marathons” kind, but the kind that works for real-life women like me. A 43-year-old mom of four. A woman healing through autoimmune flare-ups. A woman in progress.
Here’s what I’ve been doing to care for my body lately and none of it involves being extreme:
Supplements That Support Me
I don’t always remember to take them perfectly, but I’m staying consistent because I want to feel strong, not just function.
Movement That Meets Me Where I Am
My goal? Walk 30 minutes a day or do my Pilates practice. Nothing crazy, just movement that feels like love, not punishment. On the days my RA flares, I give myself grace. On the days I can move, I celebrate it.
My New Sugar Rules
Processed sugar? We’re not breaking up, but we are taking some space. I’ve cut back during the week and I feel the difference in my energy, my skin, and my joints. And yes, I still indulge on weekends.. it’s called BALANCE!
My Quarterly Reset
Every few months, I do a juice cleanse….not to lose weight, but to reset. To feel lighter, clearer, and more intentional. It’s become part of my rhythm and it helps me reconnect with my body on a deeper level.
Final Thoughts
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about alignment. It’s about small, sustainable shifts that allow me to live softer and stronger. Because I don’t just want to survive in this body, I want to thrive in it.
What small wellness habits are working for you lately? Drop them in the comments….I love discovering new rituals that feel good.
